Driven by a passion for growth and innovation, Shri. Challani expanded his horizons and ventured into the finance sector, establishing Challani Finance in Sowcarpet in 1980. In 1990, Shri. Challani set his sights on the corporate world of finance by founding Indo Asia Finance Limited (presenly known as Challani Capital Ltd.), a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). His relentless pursuit of growth saw the company flourish, culminating in a successful IPO in 1995. Always prioritizing education and holistic development, Shri. Challani ensured his children received the best education while shouldering his family responsibilities with utmost dedication.
As he sought new challenges, Shri. Challani ventured into manufacturing, acquiring and turning around distressed assets with remarkable success. His crowning achievement came in 2003 when he acquired the assets of Seshasayee Industries Limited (SIL) and transformed it into Saravana Global Energy Limited (SGEL). SGEL quickly emerged as a leading manufacturer of high voltage porcelain and polymer insulators, with Shri. Challani's leadership driving its exponential growth and profitability by receiving 25 million USD of funding participation by a foreign equity investor, Jacob Ballas in 2008. This helped the company expand tremendously.
Notably, Shri. Challani's expertise in real estate has been pivotal in shaping the success of the Saravana Global Group. His strategic investments and astute decision-making have propelled the group's foray into real estate development, including township projects, industrial parks, and warehousing complexes.
